Dr. M.B. Gooden is a dedicated, board certified, licensed Chiropractic Doctor with a focus on Integrative Medicine and specializes in health restoration and optimization through a combination of soft tissue therapy, corrective chiropractic care, and physiotherapeutic modalities. She is a dynamic practitioner experienced in a litany of natural, non-invasive health and wellness modules to evaluate and treat a wide range of common health conditions and injuries. With over 15 years experience, Dr. Gooden joyfully serves individuals, families, and professionals across the DMV and beyond.
The Salutatorian and a magnum cum laude graduate, Dr. Gooden obtained a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine at LUCC, Marietta, GA where she was a Harvey Lillard Award recipient while attending the University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Policy (MPH) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Howard University, Washington, DC. Prior to earning her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, Dr. Gooden spent several years as Associate Director and Senior Staff Specialist within the Fellowship division of the American Nurses Association, was a Policy Intern with the CDC Liaison Office on Smoking and Health, and a Public Health Fellow in the CDC/Emory University/Morehouse School of Medicine Fellows Program.
Principal doctor at Premier Spine Center (PSC), in the beautiful and bustling corridor of downtown Silver Spring, MD, Dr. Gooden is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She is passionate about assisting patients and clients with reaching optimal health, total body wellness, and encourages work-life balance to bring about positive life changes. And, she encourages her patients to be proactive and instrumental in their own health. Along with the myriad of activities which consume both her professional and personal life, Dr. Gooden provides corporate wellness events, health talks on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), Chiropractic and whole-body wellness, and she participates in health specific seminars and symposiums. Dr. Gooden currently resides in Maryland with her beautiful daughter; and, when she’s not caring for her patients and clients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, interior design, cooking savory vegetarian dishes, traveling, and exploring new places.
